Terms of Service
Use Aether to learn. Keep your account safe. Check important work before relying on it.
What Aether is
Aether helps with assignments, chat, study planning, lessons, narration, and progress. It is not a school, teacher, exam board, counselor, adviser, or grade guarantee.
Accounts
You need an account for authenticated features. Keep your email and password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us and change your password.
Educational use
Aether is meant to help you understand schoolwork and prepare honestly. You are responsible for following your school’s rules about homework, exams, citations, collaboration, and AI tools. Do not use Aether to submit work in a way your teacher or school does not allow.
AI accuracy
Aether uses AI and can be wrong. Verify important facts, calculations, citations, dates, and exam answers with trusted materials or a teacher.
No outcome guarantee
Aether may help you study, but it does not guarantee better grades, exam results, admissions outcomes, scholarship outcomes, completed assignments, or reduced stress. Your results depend on many factors outside the product.
User content
You keep ownership of the notes, assignments, files, prompts, and other content you provide, subject to any rights your school or others may have. By using Aether, you allow us and our service providers to process that content to operate the product, generate responses, save your workspace, and provide requested features.
Uploads and intellectual property
Only upload content you own, created, or have permission to use. Do not upload copyrighted, private, or school-restricted materials if you are not allowed to process them through an AI tool. Aether’s interface, branding, software, and product design belong to Aether or its licensors.
Acceptable use
Do not use Aether to harm others, harass people, generate abusive content, break school rules, bypass security, scrape the service, overload the system, reverse engineer protected parts of the product, upload malware, or submit other people’s private information.
Minors and student safety
Aether is intended for students, including teenagers. If your local rules require parent, guardian, or school consent, you must have that consent. If you are in distress, unsafe, or dealing with an emergency, contact a trusted adult or local emergency support rather than relying on Aether.
Third-party services
Aether uses third-party providers for features such as authentication, data storage, AI responses, and narration. These services may be unavailable, rate limited, inaccurate, or subject to their own terms. Aether is not responsible for every failure or delay caused by a third-party provider.
Service availability
Aether is still evolving. Features may change, pause, break, or be removed. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or address security issues.
Termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, abuse the service, or misuse student data. You may stop using Aether at any time and request account deletion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aether is provided as is and as available. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost grades, lost opportunities, or reliance on AI output.
Indemnification
If your use of Aether, your uploads, or your violation of these terms causes claims or costs for Aether, you agree to be responsible for those claims and costs to the extent allowed by law.
Governing law placeholder
Aether’s formal legal jurisdiction has not been finalized. Once finalized, this section should be updated with the governing law and dispute venue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Aether changes. If changes are important, we will make them visible in the product or on this page. Continuing to use Aether after an update means you accept the updated terms.
